London Cyclo Cross Team Champs 2010 will be hosted By CW.

Doug Fox, who is the organiser of this year's London Cyclo Cross Team Champs on behalf of hosts Crawley Wheelers, has secured a new venue for the event at Great Walstead School in Lindfield on February 14th, 2010.

The event is open to teams of 3 or 4 riders, with those affiliated to the London Cyclo Cross Association going for the titles and prizes, whilst others go for prizes alone.  For more information and to enter this event online, CLICK HERE.

Social Rides

Mark Penfold and Trevor Montague have been running a series of social rides aimed at anyone that wants to ride with other like minded people. The rides are suitable for any type of bike although we request that you do wear a helmet. The rides are usually around two to two and a half hours in duration and the speed is set according to the capabilities of the riders.  At present we are unable to accept under 18s who are not accompanied by an adult. The "official" Saturday social rides have now finished for this year although an "Unofficial" social ride is still leaving from Virgin Health Club on Crawley Leisure Park at 09:30 most Saturdays. Next Spring we hope to run the rides again, every Saturday morning.

Rupert Robinson, our new Social Secretary, has done a tremendous job securing a great catering deal at a discounted price of £25 per head (reduced from £32) which includes a three-course, sit-down meal in the Ramada Plaza`s Event Lounge, with complimentary tea or coffee afterwards and the disco. So we hope you will all support what promises to be a great social occasion for the Club and a chance to socialise with other members, their wives, partners and friends.

Stewart Marshall has taken over the club clothing and will shortly be placing another order to ImpSport for Crawley Wheelers' kit. You can now place your orders online by Clicking Here  He will be ordering some extra stock of the popular items - but these usually sell out quickly so it's best to get your order in quickly - because there's a six week delivery lead time.

More Website Improvements!

The Club website continues to turn heads and is getting lots of hits! New members can now join the club online and existing members will be able to renew their membership online for 2010 via our secure payment facility ! And we also now have a Club Shop - so you can order CW kit at a discount on normal ImpSport prices. 

For those interested, the CW website now uses Quikstore e-Commerce software, (BTW, if you need e-Commerce functionality for your own company's website, this is a great product - at a really affordable price - see Quikstore.com for more info).

By registering online for a Member Login, members can have access to the Forum and contribute blogs, links and images. In the members' section we have also now implemented a Live Chat Room.

Have you tried the Forum yet? It's a great way of keeping in touch with other members and fixxing up rides, etc. If you would like to contribute something to the site or use the Forum, just click on the Register link under the CW Members Login heading and create a user login and password for yourself. I had to remove the open registration page because it just gets hacked by all and sundry. So now all new registrations have to be approved by one of the site "Moderators". It's quick and quite painless!
