Crawley Wheelers is a cycling club for anyone interested in leisure or competitive cycling in and around Crawley and Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

We have organised weekly club rides and training sessions and run an excellent evening time trial series as well as open time trial, road race and cyclo cross events.

Our members take part in social rides & sportives and we have teams racing competitively at all levels in time trial, road race and cyclo cross events throughout the year.

If you're interested in hanging out with some other local cyclists for rides and/or racing then get in touch.

Wheelers Prize presentation and Club Lunch 29th January 2012 @ Roffey Park Institute Horsham

This year the Prize giving and presentation will be on the afternoon of Sunday 29th January at the Roffey Park Institute, 12:30 for 1pm. This is a great new venue for the prize giving that is steeped in local history. Roffey Park

We will be having a hot buffet lunch with the following menu.

Meat - Cantonese style pork fillet with sesame, spring onion and ginger noodles

Fish - Crispy sea bass filet on a bed of shallot and fennel risotto

Vegetarian - Mushroom paprika with pesto tagliatelle

Deserts - Chocolate profiteroles filled with baileys cream

Wheelers Weekly Whereabouts Preview - What Rides Where?

Wednesday 25th January come and join the turbo session, we had 21 last week.

The Wheelers have teamed up with the Mid Sussex Tri Club to run a weekly session on Wednesday nights instead of the Haywards Heath Hilly as the weather turns more wintery.

These sessions take place in the Green Sports hall at Warden Park School in Cuckfield between 20:00 and 21:30. Sessions are varied and have been put together scientifically and have been designed to produce results. If you are not doing them you will be missing out.

The session will be for approx an hour with time to set up and take down. But arrive at 8pm as there are some keen to get started people going.

The hall is a fantastic venue with mirrored walls on two sides. The floor is a cushioned lino so you will need to bring some floor protection to avoid denting the floor. A piece of plywood or a hard mat should do the trick.

Within the Turbo session we will cover a wide variety of skills and fitness to aid the winter training.

There will be a small cost of £2 to cover the hire of the hall. Please come along and get the training in and book that PB/Goal for next year!

Saturday 28th January we will be meeting at Great Walstead School at 8.30 am to clear the cross course.

We need help clearing the cross course for the London LeagueTeaChamps race on 12th February. Brinog along you garden rake and clippers to sweep away the leaves and clear some bushes.
