The last of this years Club Away Days. The ever popular Isle of Wight.

The intended route is below. 61 miles with 2 coffee/food stops.

1st – Cafe Verdi at 21miles.

2nd – The Spyglass Inn at 43 miles.

The route is not too challenging and the day will have a holiday vibe to it.

Of course a certain level of fitness is needed but no pressures on pace, other than last ferry home.

Looking at crossing times I think we should aim for the 9:20am crossing from Portsmouth to FISHBOURNE. This gets us to the island for just after 10am.

You can but passenger tickets in advance or on the day. Return is £24.20. (Bikes free)

There is car parking immediately opposite the terminal. Will need to pay for this. Car Park is ‘Portsmouth Gunwharf’ PO1 2LA. 24 hours is £13.50. 8 hours £10.50.

There are train options to Portsmouth however this is a Sunday so unsure how reliable the Southern services will be.
